Never a highend headset from Vive or Oculus. I have convinced several big name chinese wholesalers that I do YouTube reviews and gotten some cheaper phone headsets and tracking hardware. You could always try Vive and Oculus, especially if you refund via Amazon on a more significant order or something.
Worth a shot I suppose.
If you refund something of that value though, make sure to order some other really pricey stuff in the same order, but make sure everything comes in the same box, makes things easier.

Good point.
You can use the DNA method (on the entire package), wrong Item received, or missing Item- being the headset hence claim a partial refund.

This is an assumption, but I heard DNA doesn't work very well in Germany.

It may well be the case, but It depends which company and carrier you're dealing with.
