Updating #1
So I'm working on an update for my website. My HTML/web design skills are not the greatest. Any suggestions for TemplarCraft? Feel free to leave what you think I should add/take away. Things that would make the site look better. I'm no pro but I will look into doing what I need to do to make this site beautiful. The site on the link is not the exact site due to me already changing and updating the source. It is however very similar and I can build off whatever you recommend. Thanks guys and I appreciate the criticism.

I would suggest just using a forum (like IPB maybe even Xenforo with a portal) You'll put all the announcements threads in the portal and you're also using a forum where your players can post.

That's what most people do and IMO that works the best.

Otherwise just use a simple template/framework like bootstrap and edit it if you really want a "normal" site.

Would a forum really be the way to go? I never thought about going for a straight forum template.

Yes IMO it is the best way to go, Both of my friends who run servers with a average max players of 250 both have forums, One has Xenforo the other one has IPB.

Both use a portal plugin that everyone can basically see the announcements. And use buycraft for ingame items.

Thank's I switched it over to forums. Gave it rudimentary boards for now. I'll be adding them over the next couple days. Also I'm checking into buycraft since you recommended it.

*edit* After reading about buycraft I'm not going to go that route. I have a system that works a little easier for now at least.

I set up buycraft and the forums. Also I'm thinking about whitelisting the server and having users post on the forums to get on the whitelist. Is this a good practice if I'm trying to keep the LQ players out and build a HQ community? Good idea? Or keep it open?

Add a portal so people will see that first instead of the forums, Some people don't like to go on forums but still want to check out the changelog/announcements.

The one big problem I would like to fix for now is the ip s16.hosthorde.com:25852 I would like to change it to something like mc.templarmc.net but I'm not sure how to go about it. I have been reading but nothing I try works. Any suggestions?

Add a subdomain that's called mc.templarmc.net and put the destination to s16.hosthorde.com:25852

EDIT: Not sure if port works, Probably not. so remove that.
