its would be better if you implement hide tag for cracking section only which will apply on combo list , config , tools .

We avoided this originally, to prevent the Latest Posts from being overrun with LQ posts. However, with the Filter that may no longer be necessary. If you guys want people to say "thanks" over and over I guess it can be arranged. I don't think it contributes to actual discussion, though.

I've considered making changes to the section for a while. In the past my decisions have been misunderstood, as sometimes >50 threads are made by a person and we don't want other conversation drowned out (especially by "thank you very much" posts).

If the following people provide their opinions, it would assist: @Aeiou, @caos, @ElTop9033, @GeneralPoose, @hacxx, @IhebQlf, @MarioMI, @mothered, @Ra-Zi

Some ideas:

• Requiring a reply or "like" to view the content
  
• Making the section visible only to registered or upgraded members
  
• Requiring a set number of posts to view the section

A recommendation I have is to dedicate a section for members who are active and participate in discussion. More like the account has to be 1 year old and 30 posts minimum. Just a rough idea i thought might be beneficial.

There's some people that come here strictly for Cracking, so that idea would probably have a negative effect.

A reply Is the norm with the majority of boards and works quite well, so I'm In favor of that.

In terms of hitting a "like", It defeats the purpose of Its objective. Members like posts for that very reason, and not to solely view content (that they may dislike afterwards).

Perhaps making the "links" only available to registered members, will entice guests to sign up for an account and then replying to view the links.

If you can make make people who didn't register can't access to the post and the people who registered can easy find link on post without hide

I was leaning more towards this. Although requiring a like might not hurt. I have seen [hide] have a detrimental impact on other forums, even when filtered.

- I personally would not recommend reply because then the comment section will be filled with replies like 'thank you' or random spam. And giving a like isn't that hard. So only a registered member gets to like the post and view the content.
