I'm in favor of the idea that you have to be registered and have a certain number of Threads but not a number like 50 that will create spam so that they can access what they are here for, having a light number like 15 could be doable in my opinion for any new member interested in the cracking section.

I feel like some of this comes down to: Do we need to provide something for free and make it easy to get to? Or, do we want some kind of return, i.e. posts/ high quality threads / less spam etc.

I see mothereds point about the like function being used for something other than if you really like something, could be an issue. Equally, its a very simple solution.

When you say hide tags, do you mean that links would be hidden until replied to?

We avoided this originally, to prevent the Latest Posts from being overrun with LQ posts. However, with the Filter that may no longer be necessary. If you guys want people to say "thanks" over and over I guess it can be arranged. I don't think it contributes to actual discussion, though.

I've considered making changes to the section for a while. In the past my decisions have been misunderstood, as sometimes >50 threads are made by a person and we don't want other conversation drowned out (especially by "thank you very much" posts).

If the following people provide their opinions, it would assist: @Aeiou, @caos, @ElTop9033, @GeneralPoose, @hacxx, @IhebQlf, @MarioMI, @mothered, @Ra-Zi

Some ideas:

• Requiring a reply or "like" to view the content
  
• Making the section visible only to registered or upgraded members
  
• Requiring a set number of posts to view the section

We have a Market tab already, but specifics are best left to private messages and 3rd party communications. If the marketplace grows it might become a discussion.

The idea of /hide and make a comment to see the content that i see little accessible, if someone wants to see the content, comment and the topic, they will down others that are more recent, it would not give it the attention it deserves. to said creator theme, right? I think it would be a mess of comments. i see better that only registered members can enjoy the content without any "hiding" and if you like it, leave a comment, i just think ...

I really would like to see a /hide tag or certain number of post to be able to see the cracking section but that will decrease a lot the traffic of the forum

Unless a minimum character length Is set for replies, we all know that hide tags result In LQ posting, which Is not what this board encourages.
