Suppose you are only admin and you've banned yourself, then?
Freaky, but accident happens ...

Go to your hosts control panel and launch phpMyAdmin.

Run the following commands:

Code:

DELETE FROM mybb_banned WHERE uid=1

next ...

Code:

UPDATE mybb_users SET usergroup=4 WHERE uid=1

You are unbanned and assigned to admin again!!!

Note:
Assuming your UID is 1 (default for first member : admin).
Assuming your database table prefix is mybb_ (default), if not, change what is.
Assuming your usergroup is 4 (default for Administrators), if not, change what is.

Hahaha, nice tutorial mate!

Nice tutorial. Hopefully our admin doesn't ban himself lol.

[Aces]

It's stupid that it would even be possible to ban the Admin. lol

This is for if the Admin accidentally bans himself.

I know and it's stupid that MyBB would allow banning of the UID 1 since it's the site Admin. I can't see a senario when you want to ban yourself on your own forum.

That's a good point. I suppose for testing purposes.

That's pretty cool, not sure who would do that though...

I doubt I will ever ban myself if I ever owned a forum, but thanks a lot for this. : )
