If I could get Verizon FiOS 150/150 in my area then those speeds would be fucking blazing, I would estimate probably 18.7 MB/s (Megabytes are used in uTorrent not bits)

If it's a decent torrent with plenty of seeders I just get the same speeds as I would downloading a game. I don't get any difference in speeds with torrent as long as they're heavily seeded.

Actually, Megabit is just a unit. The larger of which would still be the Megabyte because eight bits = one byte

Yes I know how It works and do agree with your breakdown. I was referring solely to the term "Megabyte" (per se) on general grounds- just like you'll read thousands of results when searching for It.

As you've mentioned, ISPs advertise their speeds In Bits, hence Megabits (as referred by the ISP) being the measure of speed.

Update: I switched from Xfinity 25/5 to Verizon Fios 100/100. Torrent download speed is now 12 Megabytes instead of 3.

If I would've gotten their (expensive ass) Gig Package which they offer here, and I downloaded Grand Theft Auto 5 which is like 60GB large, and that's without any updates, it would take approx. 8-10 minutes.
