I actually thought you were joking, did you just tell them something like "I've heard that I will get a bill and I'm tight on funds..." or act poor through the whole thing and its just implied?

Do they bill you? If so, how to prevent it?

I wasn't billed, but as times have changed there is a chance they would. Probably just use a drop, or the method @
Aiba swears by, pretend you're poor and can't afford for them to bill you.

What do I do if they say this: "DHL will collect the CPU at your provided address and sent it to our depot, after checking which may take up to 2 days, the replacement will be shipped"

I would guess that you would just prebox it with something of similar weight so they think its in there. DHL ships it, and its off. However if you are worried about it, just say that you can send it and its no problem (box method...send empty box, tracking or none, as long as it ships) that way no one has to see the "device" until it hits the depot.
Should work.

Mate you haven't been here for six months, and you were just asking if they billed because you wanted to do it less than a month ago (pretty sure this is joke so lol)
