Many of you guys may know about IP loggers, but the methods I've seen posted in this section for doing so are waaay overly complicated.

All this involves is getting someone (your victim) to click a link.

1. Go to Blasze IP Logger Website (Yes they spell it different in the URL than the actual site..)

2. You should see a box that looks like this:

3. In this box, I usually enter in a Google Images URL as I think it works best, it will give you a solid excuse for shortening the URL later. Your link should take you to a page looking like this:

4. Click "Create URL", this will give you 2 links, the first is the one we are going to shorten and send to our victim, and the second is for us to look at and find their IP.

5. Almost done, now head over to Goo.gl URL Shortener and create a short URL that looks something like this: http://goo.gl/fh783fh6

6. Now just send that URL to your victim, if they ask why its a goo.gl URL I usually just tell them its because the URL of Google Image results is like 200 characters long.. But tell them whatever you need to.

7. Now all you need to do is go to that second link we bookmarked earlier, anyone who visits your first link will have their IP displayed here.

Do you know what layers' ip address is grabbed? I think IP address is sent on IP, TCP, and HTTP if I remember correctly.

The thing about this is that it'd only work if you're talking to someone you know. If you're talking to some random guy on the internet, it'd be hard to get him to click the link.

I'm sure there'd be ways for them to click on the links, like a shared topic of some sorts. Most likely, you'd already be in contact with the person of some sorts: just share a "link" based off the topic at hand.

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind next time. And according to this link The IP address is layer 3. I'll have to read more about that because I don't quite understand the whole concept of layers.

Thanks! I have this picture stored whenever I need to reference layers. It's called the 7-layer model, and it describes how two computers communicate.

Really the big ones are layers 2,3,4. Beyond that is just handling data.

But say I was playing a game and I wanted to hit a kid offline that was making my time on the game less enjoyable, there are minimal ways to get a kid on Garry's Mod to open a random link.

If different layers are somehow from different IPs, something has severely fucked up.
