Food Refunding Guide (Used for Last Resort) #1
As the title suggests, I will show you a way of refunding food though, this must be used as a last resort. Has many disadvantages which I will discuss later on.

This method requires you to have a set amount of money in your checking's account. Not only that, the amount money in your checking's account has to match the price range of your order. For example, if you were ordering from subway and the subtotal of your cart comes to be $24.99 - then your checking's account must have exactly enough to pay that order. When doing this, make sure to not include tips at all.

Now this is where the magic comes in. I have tested this on UberEats which means I don't exactly know if it works on other food delivery services. What you are going to do is offer a tip to the driver. Since you didn't include a tip, many food services have an option to tip a driver if you ever felt like changing your mind.

When you offer a tip, UberEats refunds the full total amount to your card in regards to charge the tip. Simply put, they will refund the order total back to your card and add the tip to the total amount you have originally paid. Now since your account doesn't have enough money to pay the tip, your refund will sit in your account until you have enough money for ubereats to automatically charge you that amount.

Here is a breakdown of the method:
  1. Go to your bank account. Take out money from checking account and put into savings.
OR you can go to privacy.com create a virtual card and add have enough to buy the food.
  2. Have exactly enough in your checking's to buy your food
  3. Order your food, afterwards tip your driver. (this will make the company refund and pay back exactly the amount with the tip)
  4. Since you don't have enough for the tip, ubereatas cant extract the money, leaving you with the refund.
  5. Lock your account and go!

Disadvantages:
  • If at some point your checking's account has enough money to pay back the order, the service will automatically charge the amount you had to pay.
  • This is for one time use. As stated above, if you try to add money to your checking's account, the service will charge the previous order that you have done.
  • Company can be suspicious and lock your account and/or ban your address (possibly).

As stated, this is used for last resort only. Nonetheless, have fun !

Cheers,
~ Waifu.

Nice guide, particularly that It's based on first-hand experience (yourself) with UberEats.

Well done.

Thank you! I was trying to genuinely tip the driver who delivered my food. When I tried to tip the driver, I realized that ubereats had refunded the amount that I paid for the food in regards to charge the tip with the whole order. Since I didn't have enough money in my account, the money was sitting still in my account unattended. Since I thought it was a bug within the system, I created a new account, saturated it for about two weeks, and then applied the same methodology on that account in hopes for getting the same result outcome as stated previously. To my surprise, it worked! though I'm happy for finding such a vulnerability to tackle, I still think this is one of the least ways you should refund your orders.

Good work with repeating the SE (In the above manner) to make sure the first one wasn't a one-off Incident.

Logic has It, they'll realize their mismanagement - particularly when the same events are performed In large volumes. Take advantage of It while It lasts.

Nice method.

I'm guessing you need to add the tip straight away, correct? As I have tried for an older order and it does not work as it charges me 1.00 by itself.

Correct you must add the tip right away, or when your food is delivered.

In the past, they've refunded my order after they put the wrong toppings on a burger (and stuff like that). They're normally pretty lenient, so this all seems a bit blatant/excessive.

As mothered stated, pretty much all services do this. You are right though, it is a little excessive - hence why I said its used for last resort.

Provided It's effective and does not have a significant negative Impact on the SE as a whole, then that's all that matters, Irrespective of the steps needed to get the job done.

This tutorial Is certainly part of that equation.
