I'm a uni student so all my lectures are online and i'm at home currently, getting distracted very easily and lacking the motivation to do any work most days. I get it done but very inefficiently.

Just wondering if anyone had any advice.

Thanks Smile
I usually don't work and/or do anything important ex: studying, working, etc at night. Night time is probably when most people get distracted or get lazy & loose their focus.
I'd recommend you to sleep at night and wake up early in the morning, take a cold shower, have a good breakfast with coffee and then do what you have to do before night time.

Yep I agree morning seems like the best idea I fortunately have a relatively good sleep schedule atm. Will try get into the discipline of working in the morning.

All classes get recorded and uploaded so I can kinda watch them whenever I want or need to study for them.
I have maybe attended 3-4 online lectures during this whole pandemic, I just skip them all :?
No tips sorry i'm suffering the same as you

Towards the end of my degree all classes were forced online, due to the pandemic. I graduated, but I can definitely sympathize with people that aren't already used to the online curriculum.

What do you mean by separate device or install?

When I did online classes I would keep my coursework and related files on a separate computer (without Discord or games). Helped limit distractions and keep things separate, so that work and leisure didn't blend together. You could also make a separate Windows or Linux install.

Sounds good.

There Is no right or wrong, but rather a difference In perspective with what works "for you". Simply put, create an environment that you're comfortable with and most Importantly, can adapt to your needs In a positive fashion.

Well, it is really hard to concentrate at home, so the only thing I can say that you should leave your phone somewhere else. It takes a lot of time really.

Particularly when shooting text messages back and forth.

When I'm writing tutorials, I make sure my cell phone Is on silent.

Why the entire day? To kill some time?
