Ticketmaster SEable? #1
Purchased a ticket for a festival a couple months ago, around $600 total, this was a monthly payment plan and I chose tickets to be delivered by post rather than E-ticket, this wasnt originally an SE attempt whatsoever but the idea sprung to mind so I thought why not give it a shot (although i dont suspect it has high if any probability of working)

Firstly, their terms do unfortunately say this:

"We shall not be liable for, and you will not be entitled to any refund where delivery is refused, returned, missed, unclaimed or fails as a result of your failure to provide correct and complete delivery information and/or failure to ensure you are available to receive delivery of Tickets (whether physically or via email, as applicable) or your failure to download Tickets from your Ticketmaster account, as applicable.

So if this is an instant deal breaker which I assume it probably is, feel free to skip the rest and let me know its hopeless Biggrin , but anyways

the tickets were indeed delivered as expected around a week ago, through the letterbox, no pictures or anything were taken, the tickets came with some sort of parking pass, only idea I had in mind was to say the envelope only contained the parking pass inside, or just DNA it completely, if anyone has any potential suggestions or can confirm the attempt is 100% futile I'd greatly appreciate it, only ever SE'd amazon so I'm still a complete noob when it comes to attempts that require more advanced techniques.

DNA It.

Their terms (that you've provided) do not mention anything about purely nonreceipt of goods.

ill go through with the DNA and ill keep this thread posted with updates, however, I have a small concern I wanna tackle before attempting, in the case that the DNA was to work, would it make sense to ask for a refund? since it's a festival, I feel like asking for a refund is a bit odd since wouldn't you want to go to the festival? I guess I could say something like I didn't prepare for the festival since I assumed I wasn't gonna be able to go, and the other thing, the tickets I have in hand, is there any way they could go around blacklisting them or anything of the sort post refund? the tickets do have a scannable QR code with some sort of code / SN below as well as an individual SN-type code on each of the 3 tickets, (1 ticket for each day) so I'm worried I won't be able to use them, any advice is great! <3

I am not sure but I believe they may be able to just cancel your ticket, but this still means that they have to go through an investigation that is never fast and take some days, so this may play at your advantage

When you buy a ticket in a shop, tickets are printed in the shopw real time. It's not a stand alone pass, not connecting to a central seever. It doesn't matter if it's on your phone with a picture of them or you have original ones.

At the gate you will be scanned like the guy with his phone. Same same. So... If I'm logic (don't worry amz OPs have no logic at all) they should cancel the ticket cause if you have been stolen the other guy couls use it before yourself.. If they give you others.... It's free festival for the bad guy... In all cases, they should cancel yout ticket..

Its not like a tech item, on your ticket / item you bought, they still have control on it. Whatever if you own these tickets... or not.

But as said before.. It's Amz, everything could happen with them

Simply tell them that you've booked a holiday for 4 weeks (or whatever the duration of the festival Is), thereby you cannot attend the festival and would like a refund.

Provided they're not cancelled at the time of the refund, there'd be no reason for them to keep track of the tickets and check the activity, so you'll be fine.

I fully agree with the mothered suggestion, without comment.
