I watched a video on Parrot and a few other hacking OS's and guy said Parrot could be used as a daily use OS as well. Unlike Kali, where its thought to be used to do its work then be shut off, not surf the web, connect to email, buy shit on ebay, chat with your GF on facebook etc...

I was wondering if there wasnt a daily use OS that kali made that could be used to hack around with. and I did some research and found this. I havent installed it yet, but will get it up this weekend on a VM. I guess though, keeping work and private stuff should be separate, like, bad op sex can leave you with chaffing and rashes, if youre lucky maybe even a virus... worse thing would be if one did something wrong and was dumb enough to log into their FB on the same computer... or network. lol. thats how one would get caught I assume.

I plan on hacking my wifi again this weekend and seeing what I can learn or do differently, maybe get used to password cracking scripts and stuff. idk.

I use Parrot for years on my Lenovo Thinkpad L540 with a ssd and win7 dual boot. I start hacking with kali, but one day i met parrot and change my system. In my opinion is ParrotOs more comfortable and a bit faster than Kali. For my RaspberryPi i'm using and recommend Kali. Parrot is not up-to-date for ARM. On my Galaxy S5 i'm using LineageOS + Androx, becouse nethunter had a problem with the phone, don't know why.
But there are other hakcing systems like

In my opinion is ParrotOs more comfortable and a bit faster than Kali.

Did you happen to use BT (BackTrack) prior to being discontinued? If so, I'd be Interested In reading your thoughts. Personally, I loved It's overall presentation.

In my view, Kali Linux Is much of a muchness.

ParrotOS is great. IMO it's got buggy though. I used it since it first launched. Once it got buggy I switched to Kali linux though. It can't be topped.

I used it back before they changed the name, and it wasnt bad from what I remember. Reinstalled it here recently though, and the GUI felt super buggy compared to before, so I spent some time fixing that. Then I installed the correct drivers and got them configured, finally I got to work on the settings, keybinds, theming and getting my dotfiles put where they need to be. I did a quick reboot, and when I logged back in everything I had just done was gone. Not a trace of anything anywhere, so I wiped my drive and restored my Arch backup

I Think, that Kali or Parrot is a very good alternative OS to BT. The tools are very great and you have an AiO OS to have some fun

Along with many other OSes, I have both Kali Linux & Parrot OS Installed on my VM and I'm quite happy with each one. It's difficult to say which of the two I prefer- In my view, they're on par.
