I have TP LINK TN WN721N wifi adapter..how do i set it up in backtrack 5 in oracle virtual machine..Please help

This could be several issues, first check for hardware issues, does it work under your usual OS. Check the settings for the virtual machine if the device is in use by the host system then the VM won't pick it up as a wireless device , next check the aircrack website for compatibility if it's listed there it will be supported.

If these are OK the device could be down check with ifconfig command to see its status. Finally check /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist to see if the device has been blacklisted and remove/comment it out if it has
