Hi everyone, so i currently have a macbook with 8gb ram and 256 ssd. I just ordered the same model with 24gb ram and 1tb. My question is can i just tell apple that I received the wrong item and switch macbooks? If yes will they see that my old macbook has been attached to my apple id in the past? I was also thinking of ordering a cheaper version brand new and switch it with that if it’s safer that way.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Dude. It’s Apple directly, so of course they can see everything including when it was activated. The swap may work with a third party no probs?

How will you justify that you received an Item that's obviously not part of their Inventory, hence It could not have been picked, packed and dispatched from their warehouse, nor an error by the manufacturer?

yeah good point. If not, I was thinking of ordering the cheapest version from them on another account and switch it and sell my own laptop on market place or something.
