I was thinking partial EB, but what I really want to SE is the mic which is about two pounds so PEB wouldn't work.

900 grams Is way too heavy for the partial method.

I'm thinking the best options are sealed box or disposed faulty item are the best methods then?

Yeah, I just don't think DNA would work in this situation as well. The item can't be viewed at all. It comes in a cardboard box that has an outer shell for the box that you can slide off. The box with the actual product is simply closed with a piece of tape, so once you cut/remove that tape you can open the box. Here's an unboxing that shows the box & item. The preamp the boxing set up is the same, just a piece of tape holding it shut. Here's an unboxing video as well. The only thing that worries me is since it's so easy to open they might take a look and just retape it, but that shouldn't happen if the sealing is sufficient.

It's well-suited to the sealed box method.

If there's no reason to check the return, they most likely won't, namely when there's no signs of tampering.

I've done a crap ton of DNA's, and they never call, they never come to the door etc. ymmv but it's highly unlikely.

I've personally hit hundreds of DNAs spanning over many years of SEing, and experienced the driver attending my home only on one occasion.
