Steam Deck question 10-21-2024, 05:08 PM
#1
I’ve just got a message from steam saying that they processed a refund for me. They also said in the email that they have flagged the steam deck. What does this mean?

Turn it on, connect it to the internet and you are done.
Or
You are not eligible for warranty
Depends if they changed their stance

There is no warranty, if you sell someone and they write to support, they would say that it was flagged as lost in transit or etc. I wouldn't connect with your personal Steam account to it also.
I don't believe in what I say. Everything is just fictional and made for a good laugh.
I don't answer PM.

Did you turn on before they confirmed the refund?

As with any serial number/IMEI product, the rule is:
Never turn on until 2-3 weeks after receiving refund.
Do not sell with your own details and/or make it absolutely clear that this is a non-warranty product.

Steam MEB failed:
"The package left our warehouse containing the product that you purchased, and our records show that the shipment was successfully delivered. We will not be sending you a replacement, nor can we offer you a refund."
Pretty brutal.
(aged account, not many purchases, EU)

DNA was the way to go... it's too heavy to meb, and this method is pretty hit or miss with heavier items.
