Stealing macbook pro

My college has these new 2022 macbook pros that are super easy to steal. Is there any way to wipe a macbook without the admin account? Or be able to reinstall mac os? I believe that they aren't logged in to any icloud. I just want to see if it's possible to set it up for personal use, or to sell.

Yes, you can. You have to be 100% sure they're not logged in to any iCloud tho.

What exactly do you mean by "steal" ?

Ok I’m not 100% sure that there is no iCloud signed in. The only one I know that there is no iCloud on is the guest account, the admin account I’m not sure. Is there any way I could check? It’s super easy to steal cuz we’re each assigned one that we use only during class but I could just take an unassigned ones from the cart or one assigned to this annoying ass kid in the class too.

Yes there’s risk but it’s a calculated risk. I know the possible outcomes of this and I have a few backup plans if some things go wrong. This is why im doing research rn and posting on this form so I make sure I know what I’m getting into beforehand. I appreciate u looking out for me tho.
