Seing Amazon Guide 04-24-2019, 07:39 PM

First of all , formatting on this is awful . It was originally a word document I typed it. Essentially , I'm planning to sell this onto people who can't be asked with learning about it from resources like this site. I thought I'd share it with sinister.li to get feedback on the overall quality , as well as hopefully help a few people out. It's for people who have no idea what SEing is so I tried to make it very basic.
Sidenote : It's long , if you read the whole thing : thank you very much.

Below is a full, comprehensive guide on exploiting amazon’s refund policy to allow you to get a refund for an item you purchased, whilst keeping the item itself. Certain methods in this guide can also be applied to other companies.
Tips
. Start small, get comfortable with the methods before working your way up. Any items that are sold and fulfilled by Amazon are the easiest and what I recommend you start with.
. Be polite, all methods involve dealing with human-beings, customer service reps. They’re the people responsible for giving you your refund. They’re more likely to do so if they think of you positively.
. Use PayPal transactions, whenever possible use PayPal. It has a buyer protection scheme that will refund money to buyers if there was an issue with the purchase. In the unlikely event amazon denies your claim: make an appeal to PayPal.
Method 1 – Did not Arrive
One of the only well-known methods on this list, the Did not arrive (or DNA) method is simply when you say that the parcel was marked as delivered on the tracking, but no-one rang the door and the parcel was not left with any of your neighbours.
This is a universal method; it can be used with all companies. Although the simplest, it has the lowest success rate due to companies having evidence to appeal it.
Lots of parcels these days are shipped with signature delivery. Meaning you must sign for the package to receive it. This is not a patch on this method, if the package is signed for (use a fake signature, obviously) it could just mean the delivery driver took it to the wrong address and a dishonest receiver signed for it. It happens regularly.
An Investigation: with high-value items especially, Amazon will open an investigation if you make a claim on one of your orders. For the DNA method this will often involve a delivery driver interview and is often where you can get fucked over. If he says he remembers delivering the package to your address, you’re screwed. That’s why I recommend only using the DNA for low-medium value items.
Example claim:
I went onto amazon live chat and the conversation went something like the following:
Me: Hello, my package I ordered has not turned up, it was marked as delivered on the tracking information a few hours ago. I thought I’d wait in case it turned up.
Amazon Rep: Hi, sorry to hear that, have you checked with your neighbours and at the local post-office for the package.
Me: Yes, I have done both of those
Amazon Rep: Ok, *NAME*. I’m looking at the item and I can confirm it is sold and fulfilled by amazon. Because of this, I can offer you a refund or replacement on your order.
Me: A refund would be ideal, thank you.
Refund was processed shortly after
The trick to this method, is not letting it go to investigation at any cost. If the Amazon Rep says they want to open an investigation, say something like:
“Ok thank you, can I double-check with my flatmate that she didn’t receive the package before you do that?”
Make sure you get an answer confirming there will not be an investigation, some of these Amazon Rep’s are sneaky pricks and will try and be persistent on opening it.
Side note: You don’t have to use live chat to make the claim, you can also use email or call them.
Method 2 – Wrong Item Received
This is probably the most reliable method; it can work with some other retailers (any that dispatch packages centrally from a warehouse). Amazon wise: This method only works on items that are fulfilled / dispatched by amazon.
For this method , you convince the amazon rep you were sent an item completely different to what you ordered and therefore are entitled to a refund.
The trick is that the item you say you were sent has a weight identical (or very similar) of that to the item you want to get for free. Furthermore, the item you say you were sent needs to be smaller (or the same size) as the one you are trying to get refunded on. This method places the blame on amazon warehouse employees putting the wrong delivery label onto the wrong box.
E.g. Say I want a laptop for free, I find an item with a similar weight and size (e.g. printing paper). Both items will say something like: “Dispatched by Amazon” or “Fulfilled by Amazon”.
I order both items (both items are ordered from separate accounts to separate delivery addresses, that way amazon cannot link the two items).
Then I contact amazon and tell them I opened up my package expecting to see a laptop and was instead sent printing paper.
After a few simple questions such as
“Was the package tampered with when you received it”: Say no
You will get a response such as:
“Ok thank you, I will send you a return label to print off for you to return the paper to the amazon warehouse”
Sometimes they wont even make you return it. Even if they do, you paid £10 for printing paper and got a £600 laptop out of it.
Overall, this is the method I would recommend as it is almost guaranteed to work. They cannot possibly dispute this claim (as long as it is the same weight and size / smaller).

Method 3 – Empty Box
This is a simple method that works on light items (e.g. Airpods, I use this method all the time for those). All you do is wait for your package to arrive, then contact Amazon Customer support saying something like this:
Me: Hi, I got my package and opened it up expecting to see Airpods inside. But the box was empty, it was meant to be a birthday present for my son and now I’m worried he won’t have any birthday gifts.
* (something like this works well, a sympathy story to tell the rep)
Rep: I’m sorry to hear that, one moment please
At this moment in time, the rep is checking the item in question to see if it’s weight would have been registered on the scales. The weight of the package is printed onto the label at time of shipping, if the item was heavy enough to be detected the weight would be significantly higher. Once they see there is no way of proving the item was in the box. They will say:
Rep: Was there any packaging or anything inside of the box?
Me: No, nothing inside the box.
Rep: I’m very sorry to hear that, would you like me to process a refund or replacement?
Generally, for this method to work on an item it has to weigh less than 60 grams .
Method 4 – Boxing
This is another great method, you receive your item like normal but then contact the customer rep saying you no longer need the item and would like to return it , in it’s unused condition.
Once you print off the return label, instead of putting the item in the box. You put its equivalent weight in dry ice.
Hurry down to the post office asap and send it off for delivery. They will print off a shipping label with the products weight on it. By this time the dry ice would still be solid and therefore would register a weight on the scales.
Once the package reaches Amazon, it’ll be opened up but they won’t see anything inside because the dry ice already melted. They’ll check the shipping label and see that the weight matches that of the item inside. Leaving the only possibility that the package was robbed in-between the post office and the amazon warehouse.
They should process your refund regardless of this fact.
Avoiding Detectability
That’s all the methods sorted, now you need to prevent yourself for getting caught.
Firstly, Amazon DO NOT prosecute people for doing this (99.99999% of the time). Even if they deny your refund claim.
However, if you make too many refunds on top of one account , it will be banned. There are two ways to combat this:
1. Make legit orders, make a few small orders between every refund. £5 per item is fine, it just gives some legitimacy to your account. The larger the refund, the more legit orders you’ll need.
2. Making a new account, this is more complex but also a lot more cost effective. Amazon links all sorts of things between accounts (emails, IP’s, delivery addresses and credit cards). If an account gets banned, so will your credit / debit card and your delivery address will be blacklisted.
So to get around this first of all: Get packages delivered to abandoned houses, collect from there if you can be bothered with the effort.
Use a VPN whenever you are creating / using your amazon account, ideally one that is based around your country.
Make payments with a prepaid visa / Virtual Credit Card . Basically , you load the amount you want onto the card (through a provider such as ecopayz / spectrocard). Then you are supplied with a card number and all other relevant details pertaining to that card. If that card gets banned , just create a new card (usually they cost only 1p).
That’s the full guide , thank you for reading.
