Hello there, I'm going to do a sealed box for the pixel 7 on a big local high tech store.
I'm just going to switch the phone with a little pack with rice and make sure there's no sounds and return the phone 2 days later.
I read here that sometimes they check the box by unsealing the box, is it done only by amazon or on big value smartphone like the iPhone 14 ? If no should I try another method or I can go with the sealed box ?

Amazon opens returns 100%, I advise you to do it on any other store besides amazon. As far as my experience on the pixel 7, when it comes to Sealed box all my attempts have been successful.

do they check and open high value electronics ? most of the electronics must be sealed from seller to be sold as new how come they open a perfectly new box to check an item ... i mean there is a whole reason in return which allowes you to return items if product box recieved opened or damaged that made you suspect the product was already in use and not sold as new . All you're concerned with, Is resealing It to perfection without any Inconsistencies whatsoever.

And to also target companies that do not check sealed box returns. On those grounds, the sealed box method has a proven track record of success.

briefly! in a scenario where i bought an iphone shipped and sold by amazon and i managed to replace it with a fake iphone and sealed the package to perfection and returned it by doing the claim that i dont need it anymore and i didn't even open it , so the question here is do amazon check the contains of my returned sealed box , assuming the product looks like new as if i didn't even open it ?

seen a couple reddit posts where target team members say they open expensive things.  Also some some reddit comments saying they put sealed apple products back on the shelves.  (within the past couple months these were posted on r/target)
