Sealed box Method #1
Hi, I’ve got a question about the sealed box method. I have an Amazon account that has been open since 2017, I had SE’d AirPods and and iPhone SE model. On 5th June 2020 was the AirPods and on the 12th I did the I phone. I used the the empty box method and both of them was a success. On the 20th June 2020 I received the “Refund” email which says I’ve done a high number of refunds. Since then I’ve placed like 4-5 legit orders. Is it safe for me to do the sealed box method? If the answer is yes, I have a question. So the IPhone will come in the Amazon box where my address etc will be on and the actual iPhone box. Do I have to carefully reseal the iPhone box or the Amazon delivery box? It may seem like a stupid Question but I’ve never had to do a Manual return with any website. Thank you.

Not sure about if your account is safe or not to SE on, but my understanding is that you reseal the iPhone box with a strip like this:

You take out the phone from the box, replace it with something of equal weight and reseal the box using one of those strips/seals, being sure to leave as few signs of tampering as possible. Then you return it, Amazon think it’s just a standard return if you did a good job of replacing the phone & issue your refund.

This is how I believe it works, although I’m still quite new to SEing - I’m sure some other more experienced members will come along and give better advice on your situation :)

Yes It Is safe to go ahead with the method.

You've allowed ample time, as well as built some credibility on the account with legit orders.

There's a couple of options:

1. You can claim that the Amazon box was opened, but then changed your mind with the IPhone, hence return the phone In Its original untouched condition.

2.  To play It safe and give the SE a better chance of success, reseal both the Amazon & IPhone box to perfection, thus return the entire consignment (seemingly) without touching It. This gives them less of a reason to check the return.

Thank you so much, if I can’t reseal the amazon box the best, could I just still seal the Iphone box and send it in any other box? Would that still work

Yes, provided there are no signs of tampering, that would also work.

Would you say sealed method is best or the wrong item method for a iPhone 13. If I do the wrong item method, does it have to be a cheaper phone of the same weight or can I be anything that’s dispatched and sold by amazon with the same weight? Thank you

Every method Is equally effective when applied correctly against the nature of the Item.

That said, If It were my SE, I'd probably opt for the sealed box method due to the simplicity of the SE when In motion. It's only based on processing the product's return.

A like-for-like product Is preferable, but not a necessity.

Any stock Item from the same/similar category as the IPhone will suffice.

Hi, thank you for your response. I think I’m going to go ahead and do the wrong item method, only for the fact that I can keep the whole iPhone with box and leave it fully sealed so I could sell the mobile phone and make some profit. I will start the SE in a few days maybe. I’ll keep you updated
