svchost is a genuine system process but have heard instances of where viruses hide behind it

I've come across this a few times over the years.

A lot of viruses are renamed to scvhost, as opposed to the legit process of svchost. As such, It can be easily overlooked, which Is the objective of renaming It.

yes i notice this svchost seem like virus and make high cpu ussage . sometime antivirus also dont detect.

In my experience, the majority bypass leading AVs.

It's not so much of a commonality nowadays, but over a decade ago, virus writers had a habit of renaming It to scvhost.exe, and with very good reason. The "scv" seems very similar to the legit file and easily remained unnoticed.

in summary, i do rename payload info to the genuine system process svchost, so you see lotta svchosts during pentesting,
Secondly i don't care about viruses cos i use VMs even though in rare cases a malware could evade a VM and into the host system,
Got different versions of this python SMTP script and i run it in my phone to get some mails but like the poster said, you probably gonna get good results in VPS with good upload speed.

I scanned this on jotti.com and found a lot of trojans and a password stealer virus not sure if its safe.
