Investigation times are not set In concrete - they vary depending on the complexity of the claim, as well as the Information that needs to be collected and assessed.

Contact them every so often asking where your claim stands.

Got an update. I asked for a refund to Amazon directly, saying that the transporter didn’t give any update for a month. They asked me to file a police report. What do I do?

It's perfectly fine to go ahead and file It.

Amazon remains adamant with their request for a PR, and the claim will not move forward until It's provided.

Been a while, the refund is a total fail.

The seller is the worst I ever had to deal with. He pretended to be waiting for the end of an investigation that he probably never made or requested (it was supposed to last 30 days, and it's been 3 months).
He never declined the refund, just kept saying he was waiting for the 'investigation' to end, so it took a while to convince Amazon that I needed a refund.

When they finally approved it, I received a mail saying a refund was impossible. I called them again the day after, and they said they had no evidence the package was actually stolen or lost. I asked them for a proof that it was actually delivered, and they told me to contact the transporter.

It's been almost 3 months since I ordered and the item isn't that expensive, so I think I'm gonna give up on this one. Will try something different next time I guess.

On what grounds was the claim Initially approved?

How was the package received/accepted on delivery?
