The forum is going downhill.

I have many SEs I would like to share with other contributors. Unfortunately, that is a very small percentage of the overall community, and getting smaller by the day. I have no incentive to contribute publicly and reward the undeserving. If you feel the same and would like to discuss privately, please reach out.

Quote:Is it possible for a company to rebill me 30 days after I was refunded, cuz I can’t return my item by then?
Absolutely, even later than the 30-day period.

If they're expecting the return, It's on their systems - It won't be forgotten.

@mothered Would you advise me to leave it alone in this situation? Before I changed to pickup at access point, their wording was essentially "Please let it be delivered to the wrong address and we will refund you". This implies to me that they do not really care about the sunglasses, and the case is permanently closed as I was refunded, I got a customer feedback survey. Am I reading the situation wrong?

I have 4 options available to me.

1. Say nothing and hope the case is closed. I stand to gain $200 if it is closed, or "lose" $150 if they check it, since I do not believe the intrinsic value to be the price I paid.

2. Return the item, play it safe.

3. Reactive stance when they rebill me, whenever that may be, make some thing up on how I didn't receive it, the person living at the wrong address must've received it somehow, and hope they dont investigate too hard into it. Using the logic that they gave me a 40% off coupon, so why would I keep a full price item when I could repurchase at 40% off.

4. Proactive stance, say I noticed that it has been picked up, but it wasn't me, ask them how I can help.

It depends on your card, some have the "stop payments". Essentially blocking any charges regarding that merchant.

I'm trying to understand what your concern Is.

You've been refunded and the claim was closed thereafter. Are they still expecting the return after everything was finalized?

@mothered Could you please see my re-written post? https://sinister.li/Thread-Advice-Needed...ted-itself. I think we are too deep into this and I worded it poorly, so it would be more difficult to explain it here with potentially wrong assumptions you may have gathered to fill in the pieces I left out.
