SE retail store Sealed Box Advice #1
Hello,

I am thinking of doing my first SE for a pair of airpod 3rd gens. I have already ordered the sealing stickers, they will be arriving in a couple weeks.
I will probably fill the box up with small rocks, sand or dirt until the weight is matched after I have taken the airpods out of the box, making sure everything is secure so if the box is shook it will not raise suspicion from the change of weight distribution.
I was thinking about doing this through a large retail store in my country.
Through what i have seen, most people SE airpods through Amazon. Is there anything I should be extra careful about while SEing airpods using the SB method through a retail store?
Any advice regarding SEing airpods would be welcomed as well since i mentioned this will be my first SE.

Thanks.

Given the low weight I suggest you do manufacture’s EB., as that’s much easier and no risk (associated with them discovering you’ve done a sealed box swop).

If the box Is handled at the return by moving It around to check the external part of the box, the sound of rocks/sand/dirt will suggest the original Item Is not enclosed.

As said above, hit the EB/missing Item method.

I wanted to do SB to bypass any investigative procedures. Could DNA as well as EB also be a viable option for airpods? My problem with those methods is just time as I have heard that some investigations have taken months to complete.

So i could use a small amount of dry ice to match the weight of the item then make it look like the box has been tampered with, I will tape the box, then I will cut the tape to open it again then place a different coloured tape over that make it seem like the item was stolen in transit. < in theory does this sound like a viable EB?

My idea for the SB would've been to duct tape the rocks down to handle the problem of it getting shook and suggesting something has been tampered with.
I have plans to SB an Iphone 13 eventually which i will use a dummy 1:1 instead.

No, you're thinking of the boxing method which Is completely unrelated.

In terms of the EB/missing Item method and In the case of the AirPods, you'd say that upon opening the box, the AirPods were missing.

The same can be done with the AirPods.

Sorry, I framed my message incorrectly, I meant to say ."My idea for the SB would've been to duct tape the rocks down, inside the box, therefore if the box was shaken, it wouldn't arouse suspicion. (because nothing would be moving around inside the box)."

I will look on your blog for the tutorial

You are a great help, I think I may infact use that because I want the SE done as quick as possible, so i'd prefer avoiding the investigation.

All good, no problem at all.

Now It makes perfect sense.

I have written articles on both the boxing method, and using dry Ice.

The last Month I have been getting ready to start using the sealed box method on multiple retailers, My apple packaging stickers and airpod dummys have arrived.
My drop house is planned out and the last preliminary step for my setup is to get verified for the VCC.

I have a few questions regarding amazon. From what I have read on this forum, Amazon likes to lock/punish accounts if they refund too many items.
Is it still usually fine to refund on a new account?
If the order size on the new account is very large does that effect whether the account will be banned?
Is it a rare occurrence that amazon will flag your account?
Is it worth using an amazon account that is aged and has had multiple legit orders? Or could I get away with making a new one per order?
How long should someone wait between refunding amazon on the same account (aged account).? Would It be wise to space out the refunds with legit orders? OR does it not matter for amazon.

There is few questions, @mothered if you have a blog post already answering these questions could you please link? thanks
