I do not have a scale fine enough to weigh my glasses with the case but I believe it might be too heavy for the EB method. I estimate the case's weight to around 120g but who knows how accurate this is (probably quite inaccurate, not really good at estimating weights).

Exactly that, then return It for a refund.
Alright, I think I'll just order them and go ahead with the claim when they're here. Maybe even DNA them depends on how they'll be delivered. I'm going to order the Care Kit with it which will add some weight and might seem a little less suspicious. The account will be a fresh one as I bought my other pair in an actual shop. Do you think the chances still stand good?

It's best for the account to have a few purchases, but given you wish to go ahead with a fresh account, we'll work with that.
In terms of the DNA, you know what to do If only a signature Is required - fake It. Be sure It's somewhat legible (readable) so when they check It, they'll see It's not associated to your name, hence you didn't sign It.

Yeah, but I can't really do a few RayBan orders just for looking legitimate. I have now ordered the glasses and the care kit.

I have the feeling that DNA would actually be better on a fresh account. Also, it'd make it easier for me to return them if it fails. I just need to make sure that I'm home, which I'm not most of the time, so they don't give it to a neighbour, right? If possible should I tell my carrier to just leave it in front of my appartment (contactless deliveries) or would that make me liable? Would you happen to know an answer for that? I'll check and see if I can find something on that myself as well.

On the grounds they don't reschedule the delivery, that Is correct.
It's not good practice to get the neighbour Involved.

If you tell the driver at the time of delivery, you're good to go.
Verbal communication cannot be used to determine liability.

Okay, so I've just received my order after waiting for 7(!) days even though I chose express shipping. The mailman just read my name from the shipping label and I answered with "Yes, that's me". No signature required, which is odd as they usually want me to sign for normal (non express) deliveries. Also, for express deliveries it's another mailman, which is good I guess.

So yeah, I didn't have to tell him anything. What would be your approach now? Wait until after christmas and then claim DNA or wait for an hour or two and claim the glasses were not inside?
Edit: Just checked the POD online and it says signed by me but my name is not even quite correct. It's off by quite a few letters.

Although the EB/missing Item method Is well-suited to the glasses, under the circumstances of the delivery, the DNA Is good to go.

Given there was no signature required, It's no different to the package being dumped at the doorstep.
As such, the DNA Is the better option. Get In contact with the rep the day after It arrived.

Drivers are guilty of signing deliveries themselves.
FedEx does It quite often.

I was also thinking DNA is the better option. I will try to DNA it tomorrow if time permits me to do so. I guess I'll just call them if it's possible

In this case it was DHL but that does not change the fact. It should go through after an investigation, right?

I’ve done EB with Rayban. They were easy. Refund within 4 days.

Did you tell them the glasses were not inside the case or that the whole case was missing from the package? Also, what was the value?

No SE Is guaranteed to work 100%.
Under the circumstances, you have a couple of methods to choose from - DNA and missing Item. Both are equally effective with a high chance of success. It's your call.
