As I said, you're overly complicating it, just put the wrong camera in the right box and call amazon saying the manufacturer did a mistake, that's it
And you can order the wrong camera on ANY other site, no need for it to be on amazon, in fact I'd actually go to a different store or wait a couple days inbetween orders so they don't link the 2 purchases togheter

Okay. So it doesn't matter if the wrong camera comes from the same company? But what if they check the camera and find that it is not from their stock? Yes it's true, I am very careful sorry....

A good metaphor. Of course, the manufacturer is the guilty one. Thank you. Then I just have to make sure that both cameras are from the same manufacturer. Through which store I buy the wrong camera doesn't matter. Excellent.

Just thinking about this…could it not be possible that although the cameras weigh the same the dimensions may not be exactly the same and swapping the cameras from one box to another and claiming the Manufacturer put the wrong camera in the wrong box may not work due to size and fittings (IE you may not physically be able to pack the cameras into each other’s boxes)

That might happen, yes
It would work best if both cameras look the same, which is the case for some of them where they come with lenses removed and such

This method actually stimulated me to think of an idea that don't know if it is going to work:
1) Order 2 expensive items on Amazon e.g. Ipad & Macbook
2) Return one of them but put the other one into the box
3) When Amazon say wrong item received, tell them you put the wrong item and ask them to send back
4) DNA it since it is less likely to do OTP if returns? And then claim Amazon/ Apple for losing your item and request refund on the lost item (Since both items are ordered on Amazon/ Apple)
Do you think Amazon/ Apple would take responsibility to it, since it is still within the Apple care/ warranty?
