SE OneWheel #1
Hey guys, I’m writing from EU.
I’d like to SE a OneWheel (an e-skate very famous in the US) .

Premise: I’m getting into the world of refunds but i’ve never done it before, I know the theory but zero practice. I’ve always asked someone more experienced than me to do the job for me, and I paid them a fee.
But this thing, I would like to do it by myself and hopefully using your precious advices.

But I have some questions and doubts.
First of all, the store to choose.
There’s of course OneWheel official website, it accepts PayPal as well, but it ships from US so i have to consider the shipping 150$ and duties&customs which increase the cost of that Toy of 20/30% (and it costs 1k already). Whenever PayPal will refund me, how does it work in these cases? Will they pay ALL the money back or just the price of the well (w/o shipping and customs)?

There are other official resellers in the EU (free shipments, duty free) and two of them accept the payment via PayPal as well. I’d prefer to buy from there, but they are most likely small companies and I don’t feel like hurting them. Using PayPal method, PayPal will give me the money and not the shop, right?

Now we have the crucial part. After having chosen the shop to target, how does PayPal method works? Can you give me some advices for this job? My PP account is 5 or 6 years old and I’ve never used it for SE.

Thanks in advance

Generally speaking, you file a Dispute through PayPal's Resolution Center, thereby the buyer & seller attempt to resolve the matter between themselves. This obviously won't happen, hence the Dispute will be escalated to a Claim.

PayPal then takes over by reviewing the case, and ultimately decides the outcome. If that fails, you can perform a chargeback through your credit card provider or a bank reversal via your bank/financial Institution.

So basically I can choose any shop, that's great.

And which reason should i choose for opening the dispute?

Further details: the object is 10 to 15 kg heavy and 65 cm long. It is an electronic device, so it has battery. The box will be kinda bulky i guess.

With PayPal Buyer Protection, there's two types of claims that can be made:

(1).  INR- Item Not Received, which Is similar to the DNA method.
(2).  SNAD- Significantly Not As Described,  just like the wrong Item received method.

Given the weight & dimensions of the Item, I'd say SNAD Is the better option.

Ok I've spent the last two hours reading some articles of the blog in ur signature and I've found some useful stuff.

But now my question is: If i use SNAD, I should prove that the item is wrong by sending a photo of another similar item, like an e-scooter?

I don't know i feel like the seller will call me and ask further information. I mean, it is a small one and I'm afraid he's gonna investigate deeply than Amazon or other Big Ones.
