SE ASUS GPU via Warranty Claim? #1
Howdy all,

I was able to successfully get a Fedex Return label from ASUS regarding a warranty claim for a GPU. I have had this return label for quite a few days now and I do not know what the best method of FTID in order to secure my replacement.

I was thinking of either doing an advanced fake tracking id where I fill up the parcel with another object similar in weight and then send the item to one of ASUS's neighbors or either taking the same label and instead of filling it up with an item similar in weight, putting dry ice in.

Any thoughts? the clock is running out as I only have 14 days to return the item and I have had the label for almost a week?

best

Given you're willing to use dry Ice, why not simply box them?

Actually this is a good one to make things more realistic.

But I have another thought, and I do not know if you guys would agree. What if you do a bit of drama and pretend that you were robbed like last night or something, your place was thrashed, and some of your belongings were stolen including the ASUS? Will that be reasonable? What do you guys think?

The company Is not liable and will not accept responsibility.

Once the Item Is In your possession and It's stolen within the confines of your premises, It becomes an Insurance claim.

Damn! I thought that would work! Hahahaha. Was this from a personal experience back then?

Asus will 100% investigate the pack and trace it back to you. Their claims department and returns department aren't like Amazon where the contents of the pack aren't important until reported by the next person to receive a previously returned item. The packs go through a rigorous check at multiple points so you'd be lucky to get through without having at least one department check inside it. They disregard all repacking, even if it is the same type of stickers, tape, and glue strips.

It applies to every company.

The moment the product Is purchased In your possession and Is stolen as a result of a break In, It has no relevance to the company's operations. The service they provided to the buyer, Is not responsible for the theft-related Incident that took place In your home- It's your Insurer who covers the cost.

Too bad, in my country this is applicable, for real. I did this a couple of times, I have talked with managers, and also I always prepare a skit for my upcoming drama, and it all goes well. Sometimes, they even give me a bonus like headsets, or bags maybe.

I don't know why this works but maybe because of the way my fellowmen thinks.

So what if i just use dry ice and it hypothetically sublimates by the time it reaches them. Then there would be no trace or anything for them to investigate

it would be my first time boxing in general and boxing with dry ice as well. I did some tests and found that the dry ice was frosting the sides of the box as well as making the bottom of the box super cold. I tried another method of preparing the box and it fixed the frosting issue but the bottom of the box is still cold plus I am scared that maybe the shipping method is too fast / someone will open the box and see that I packed dry ice.

What are your thoughts on this

You're quite fortunate that It's worked.

I've yet to come across a company that covers the cost of a non-related Incident.
