Hello. Long time lurker, first time SE. I just got my packaged delivered today. Is it best to wait 24 hours to contact customer support?  As of right now, that's what I am planning on doing. I was just wondering if the better option is to call today. Thanks!

I'll update this thread if I successfully get a refund.

I assume you're using the DNA method?

In answer to your question, contact CS the day after delivery.

Who's the company, and what type of verification (If any) was given on receipt of goods?

Why do you always suggest waiting until the day after? Just curious, since I get an email and an in-app notification as soon as the driver drops the package, so if I were to get home after the email and find no trace of the parcel, I'd contact them right away

To make It seem as though you're not keeping track of the shipment (emails, notifications or otherwise), hence have no Idea what's going on with the consignment.

Playing dumb, puts all the responsibility on the consignor to chase up every detail pertaining to the shipment. Under the circumstances of the DNA, the less you know about the package, the better off you are - which obviously works to your advantage.

While it does make sense, it IS kinda hard to ignore an email + phone notification about a package you're totally waiting for and that is worth more than 1k.. I'd be refreshing my inbox every minute if I knew a new laptop is coming in, the hype is real!
But yeah, an extra day wouldn't hurt in any way indeed

Under legit circumstances, yes.

In terms of social engineering, It's all about manipulating events to your advantage and In the case of the DNA, namely waiting for the package to arrive, It's precisely what you're doing - waiting for It without any knowledge of Its whereabouts/existence - which supports getting In touch with the company the day after the delivery.

As said, the less you know about the package, the better off you are. Play the victim and don't give them any fuel to light the fire (so to speak).

Got it, it's not like everyone checks the emails every day / hour
