Hey Boys,

So i've been wanting to get back into the SE game after focusing on other things.

I want to try some S/N Methods and get items without paying for it first

I'm planning to contact people on local marketplaces for images of the serial number and videos or whatnot as well as photoshop proof/POP.

What stores would this work on and what Items are the best?

Any advice and help would be appretiated thanks

You'd be surprised how little convincing some people need. I ask to see it to verify if the item is still under warranty or not and 9 times out of 10 they send it.

Would you rather if you're selling hear, "Hey man, do you mind sending me a picture or video of the SN around the box just so I can make sure it isn't damaged and check if it's under warranty or anything, just wanting to cover my bases." Or, "Yo send the pic of the SN on the box so I can check warranty"

Improper: The Item could be stolen, so hurry up and gimme the serial now.
Proper: At your convenience, would you be so kind as to provide the serial number just so I can make sure It's not stolen?

Each of the above serve the exact same purpose, however their context Is not viewed/accepted In the same fashion.

Thats the beauty of SE'ing, that you could always make a better story.

For example make it even more convincing adding your interest in the item as well as a small background story why this request is important to you, and what is more, just to motivate him further, make him believe that if he does what u ask for he might sell it :

Hello, I'm very interested in this product as I'm a collector/fan of the brand/searched this particular model/version for a while, would you mind providing me with it's serial number so I could verify it's genuine, under warranty and also not stolen?
And please just the number not a screen from the warranty site as I'd like to check it myself on the website, I was scammed before so I need to follow these extra steps to be 100% safe, I'm sure you understand.
If it's all good I will probably purchase it in the next 2 days so you could actually book it already for me if possible.
