Regarding Ubereats Refunds and Tips for Drivers 04-17-2022, 11:16 PM
#1
I've recently learned how to refund ubereats orders. However, I'm in a bit of a dilemma. The method I use requires me to claim the order did not arrive in order to get a full refund for my order. The problem is I close my vcc before the delivery, so I'm not sure if the tip ever goes through to the driver.
I feel bad profiting off of somebody else's misfortune, so I wanted to know if drivers do indeed still keep the tip after closing my vcc and claiming dna. And If not, is there another reason I can choose (for refund) where the driver isn't affected? Thanks

You can use the wrong item received method on Uber Eats. Note that you will have to provide a photo for each plate that are supposedly wrong. If this is your first SE on Uber Eats, in most of the cases, you will be automatically refunded when submitting you complaint on the app, so don't bother too much about the photos you take.

Wrong item received works great and it doesn't affect the driver.
In my case the rep has asked me before if the bag looked like it was tampered with, but as long as you say it was sealed, it's not the driver's fault, but the restaurant's.
I've also heard about the food poisoning method but I've never tried it myself, so I don't know if it works.

I guess that the food poisoning method can be really damaging for the restaurant as the restaurant may be kicked out of the partnership with Ubereats for such a thing.
