Say for example I order from a cracked amazon account and the password is changed could I do something like the following :

. Log in through my own amazon account and contact customer support
. Say something along the lines of "Hi , this is for an order on another account. I forgot my password and need the refund desperately. If I provide you with the account email and order ID will you be able to view my case?"

Or do they have some sort of policy against this? Appreciate the help.

Yeah thats what I expected I guess. Do you know if it would be anything I can obtain easily from inside the account? Or would it involve some sort of verification email etc..

I assume they'd request personal credentials, such as family & given name and date of birth at the minimum.

When verifying a given account, almost every company will request an element of personal Information relative to the rightful account holder. Please keep us updated.

Update for anyone interested : Ended up getting on live chat and made up a story, they told me that all they'd need was the order ID but I feel like there was a miscommunication.
I did however find this in a vice article whilst describing refund services hackers offered.

The middleman [person doing the SE] needs access to the respective Amazon account, or if the buyer is uneasy about handing that power over, one advert suggests they can make do with the order ID of the item, the account holder's full name, billing address, email, and information on what other orders have been made with the account.
