A trick many organizations use to draw new members is by offering something extra for signing up. I think it might help us to grow if we offered a small bonus to referred members. For example, instead of starting with 50 AP they start with 100AP. In all honesty AF is hard to advertise for because people just see it as a crappy version of HF. Until they get into the community do they realize AF is way better. So I think something small to draw people in would help us a lot, and help them a lot. What do you guys think?

Couldn't you just hop on a proxy and register and abuse this?

You could do that now, you still get 50 points for signing-up. But you should have some sence of good and bad and know not to.
