I spent 5 days attempting to bypass the "Only install drivers for your manufacturer" to download an intel patch for crashing issues. I only use windows for school. FML

I hate Windows 10 because it has built in ads, forced updates, and phones home to Microsoft with all kinds of information that is anything but the "anonymous" diagnostics stuff they say it is. It's also closed source and has terribly inconsistent UI. I can't really speak on driver issues since I've never ran it outside of a VM. I strongly encourage you to install a GNU/Linux distribution that respects your freedoms, or at the very least go back to Windows 7 or a previous version of Windows.

I hate Windows. I dual boot. I do have an install of Windows for school b/c a VM can't handle it

Join the dark side and get Linux! (nothing based on Debian please)

EDIT: Just saw the only use for school part, meh...

Linux represent!

Stopped using Windows almost entirely a couple years ago.
The lack of support for most games helped me get rid of my online gaming addiction too.

All I have ever heard about Windows 10 is that its slow, it sucks, it has too many problems, its ugly etc etc etc..
I havent really had problems with it the few times I have been on it..
but still, I think it is stupid, and fucked up...

Personally, my favourite Windows version has been 10. It has been fast, prettier than any Windows version I've ever had (XP, 7, 8, and 8.1) and the functionality has been good for me in the past. (Not using Windows.)
Of course this is a personal opinion of mine, yours may differ.

Currently running Win7 Ultimate.

I know you posted that response a while ago but, GOOD MAN.

I miss windows 7 so bad. I use two laptops, one with 8.1 (which felt like a leap back of 10 years in terms of UI development - Ugliest and possibly the single most irritating UI I've had the misfortune to use). Win10 is on the other, which is a vast improvement on 8(.1) but I still feel like everything I liked about windows was made shittier and less useful for me.

And final complaint - Why did the flat box colour thing take off? I know a lot of people like it on here, and I'm just struggling to get it. Windows went from some gorgeous, smooth, transparent, glass-like stuff... to flat boxes.... which they had when they first started.... My aesthetic values have been offended.

Google made the flat themes popular with android, now everyone is copying.

Yeah, the origins make sense. For phones and tablets, I think it works well, if a little dull to look at. I just struggle to see the appeal on a PC when it's oversimplified and not that customisable in terms of aesthetics.
