amazon are being a real pain with this one.... i need to get a police report this today - haven't been able to in the last few days... They still insist someone signed for it but wont show me the signature....

How did you find those exact dimensions.... i cant see them anywhere...

No, those are the dimensions of the ACTUAL GPU. The GPU comes in it's own retial 'RTX 2070 box', which is actually what you need to use as reference when picking the swap item. I gave him the measurements from my own RTX 2070 box, as I did the exact same SE about a week ago (although I am still waiting on my refund).

When I was in his spot, I tried emailing shops everywhere to get the measurements, but nobody would give them to me, it was frustrating as hell.

Can you explain once more the procedure? Does the returned item have to be the same package dimension or product dimension, package weight or product weight? Also how did you know it ships in a clear plastic, where did you find that? Thank you!

I would rather buy it from an electronic shop so I can see it. I wouldn't buy anything from a sketchy website. One, you can get screwed over and two, there is a huge chance that the graphics card will be damaged. I've also wanted to buy some pc parts from a website that seemed like the best deal, but a friend of mine has warned me, telling me that that was a scam. Instead of that, he has told me that I would start looking for [redacted]gaming laptops with rtx 3080 since a laptop would be more suitable for my needs. I have decided to listen to him and I cannot wait for the laptop to arrive

I did eventually get the refund... had to send an email to the directorate office and they refunded me within 5-10 mins as police were refusing to provide a report.

Police Station/ Offices tend not to supply a report in uk (at least my experience) as they dont class it a criminal matter (technically a crime has not been committed) once i explained this to the directorate office of amazon they refunded me.

i used the tactic on another SE as well.
