Going to do a WIR for a non-amazon yet big company. (It's hard to use search because of the 3 character WIR).
2 questions:
I'm guessing I should order within a day, but not within 10min of eachother?
Is it okay that one of the orders has multiple items, as to increase the weight of the package to match the other? Of might this complicate things?
(both boxes will contain a very similar heavy item tho)

Just checking so I don't miss anything obvious.

I would suggest you to visit the store (if they have any close by) and check out the size and weight with the packages. I even bought my own scale once to the store and weighted both packages so I know how much the item weighted with the package. One of the sellers noticed me and I made up an excuse "trying to stay within luggage weight limit for my flight", and we both laughed about it lol.

Yes the items are of a very similar weight. Within 50gr.
It's expensive clothing.

The orders were made a few hours apart. They shipped one already, the other one not yet.
Do the orders have to be shipped same day for WIR to work? (Not amazon)

I think it would have increased success rate. Going to continue with it tho

From what I understand and have read they don’t have to be shipped the same day. I wouldn’t spread them too far apart either.

And which returnpapers do you send back in a WIR? The papers of the wrong item, or those of the correct item?

they are going to ask for a picture of the wrong item. you need to take off the label of the item you are planning to SE and put it onto the WIR package and do it gently.

This was a EU SE.
Swapping the labels makes a lot of sense.

The box complication: Expensive item was packaged with a non-standard box. The cheap one had a standard box.
Standard box for the return, as it would be more in line with the story.

Adding the wrong papers might break story.
