Question on EB with a fairly low value item #1
Hey,

I was supposed to get a delivery today from UPS (item is around 100€) and was planning on doing a DNA. I wasn't here when the delivery driver came and he just decided to drop it to a pickup spot right away instead of leaving it in my mailbox. From what I'm seeing on the tracking number, total weight is only 0.2 kg. Do you think I could EB it even though I have to pick it up from the pickup spot? ID will be required so I can't DNA anymore.

Thanks

EB can be used even if you signed or whatever
0.2kg isn't that light, but if you saying only the item inside the box was missing instead of the whole parcel being empty you might just cut it

Is this Amazon or another store?

It's basically a reseller store that I've never ordered from so there's not really any risk. The issue is I don't know how things are set up inside the package as there's supposed to be a mouse, keyboard, a power brick and cable - so if I said only one was missing they'd likely make me send back the rest.

Why would they make you send it all back instead of issuing a partial refund?
Plus, is 0.2kg the whole package or just one of the items?
You could claim that the whole box was empty, you had the outside package of it (the manufacturer box) but no mouse or keyboard or anything else in it
Or maybe just the power brick was in there, since it's probably the heaviest object, doubt they'd ask for a return for just a single item that'd cost them less than the return shipment itself

From the tracking number I have it says 0.2 kg for the whole package but I'm not sure, seems very light honestly for what's in there. I think the weight might be wrong so I could use that to my advantage.

The claim won't be assessed by the weight on the shipping label/tracking, but rather (obviously) the Item weight Itself.

Yeah but if the shipping label's weight is lower than the combined weight of all the items then it works in my favor doesn't it?

It's an obvious discrepancy that will be Immediately noticed during an Investigation, hence they'll refer to their own dispatched weight, as well as the carrier's Internal records/manifest for the correct weight of the consignment.

I just picked up the package. The label says 1 kg while the shipping information says 0.2 kg, is it a good thing for me or should I not even bother?

The shipping Info and label weight are Inconsistent, so disregard It and work on the method.
