[Question] Logitech wants to send me a receiver instead #1
Hi!

I'm somewhat new to this forum and I've been lurking and reading some SE threads.

I decided to try to SE Logitech support to see how well I'd do. Turns out I managed to make them believe me, however, instead of sending me the keyboard (G613), they want to send me the receiver for the keyboard.
I find it weird that they think the receiver is at fault when I told them

They want the following from me:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Company (if any)
- Address
- Postal Code
- City:
- County/State (if any)
- Country
- Telephone Number (including country code)

I didn't use my real name, address and phone number when I signed up. The only thing that wasn't a lie was the country I'm from.
I am really paranoid when it comes to telling people my real information.

I mean, I have no use for a receiver but on the other hand, though, I could accept it, then I could send them another email or support ticket telling them the keyboard is still not working? But at the same time I'm not sure if I want to risk Logitech suing me over a receiver. I know the chance of them finding out I'm lying and suing me is slim but my anxiety says they will find out some way. Cant argue with anxiety.

My questions are, should I give them my real info and I accept the receiver? If I do tell them my real info and receive (pun not intended) the receiver,  what should I do next and how?

I'm scared and lost and I don't know what to do.

Anyway, thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Jordyn

edit: not sure if this is important but they did not ask for a receipt.

Based on this, It appears to me that you're not ready to perform the art of human manipulation.

This Is just the beginning and If you're feeling this sort of discomfort and loss of direction during It's early stages, you will definitely not be prepared for things to follow. Build your confidence by doing quite a few practice runs with no legit Intention (phone calls, emails, chat and so forth), thereby formulating your mental skill set, awareness and know-how for when the time comes to perform the real deal.

Thank you for your reply. You might be right so I'll rethink and make sure I'm prepared for the next time I SE. Thanks!

You're welcome.

Confidence makes all the difference. Once that builds, you'll find that everything else relative to SEing will become second nature.

As mothered said above, confidence is key. When I was still doing it and I first started I was nervous as hell and worried I would fuck it up. Although, it really made it better when I got over that.

It does become very second nature.

They didn't want the receiver back. They wanted to send me a new one.

I said something about the keyboard not being able to connect to computers..

Anyway I tried again but with a mouse. Hopefully it'll work this time.
