Paypal Case 03-31-2021, 09:55 AM
#1
Hey, I'm refunding a processor w/ missing item (manufacturer error) and paypal told the following:
We'll need some additional information about your case. You’ll have to provide the following on or before xxxxx:
Report filed with a law enforcement agency or government organization. Examples of such agencies are - Internet Crime Complaint Center (
https://www.ic3.gov), state agencies, state police or a federal law enforcement agency such as the FBI or Postal Inspection Service.
What should be my next move? I still have the processor w/ me, but it's on a facebook marketplace.
edit: spelling

Clearly, It's not theft-related, so I don't know why they're asking to file a report.
At any rate, comply with their request and file a PR.

Should I take off the post off FB marketplace? Or does it not matter at all

In terms of the reps/agents assessing your claim as well as PayPal Itself, I highly doubt they'll come across It as advertised for sale.
If you want to play It safe, It won't hurt to remove It from FB marketplace and when your claim Is finalized, put It back.

Can I ask what happened to the point that you're on a paypal case?
Did the company refuse or something?

I've filed the complained and now they're asking to return the item:
"What should you do?
You have to send the item(s) to the return shipping address mentioned and upload the tracking information."
Is there a way around this or do I just send the box straight back? I don't want to box, cause I'm quite new to it.

The company completely ignored my emails, didn't hear from them for over 10 days, so I filed a PayPal case

Under the circumstances, that's the most appropriate course of action.

Sorry for the late reply, but would it be possible to box using self-service parcel terminals? As far as I know, they don't measure weight, they measure by size, so I wouldn't need to use dry ice.

The weight will be taken at their depot for record keeping and cost of freight, so substitute It accordingly.

It would be practically impossible, I would need to know the time when the weight will be taken.
Edit: I'm dumb, I just need to put in more dry ice than the processor itself weights. Thought I have to get the package weight exactly as the processor's.
