PayPal claim with a sealed box method fail? #1
Hi, I'm planning to SE a 750€ processor with the sealed box method and I was wondering if a PayPal claim will work as a backup plan if they open the box and discover the cpu is not in it

Depending on the store you're hitting, using a PP claim for a "wrong item" usually works fine, you'll have to FTID the return or something tho

Are you sure the CPU Is not visible externally?

Yes, its not externally visible (its surrounded by a silver box).

Im not sure yet, probably a piece of scrap metal or a piece of wood / tile.

Do you think a pp claim could work?

It'd be pretty hard, If not Impossible, to justify how a piece of metal/wood/tile ended up In a perfectly sealed box.

And If you're thinking of saying you may've purchased someone else's return, they'd most likely check If It was previously Invoiced.

Where are you thinking of ordering from? I've executed numerous processor SEs using the missing item method despite it being visible externally, it's dependent entirely on the procedures retailers have in place.

If you're not replacing the CPU with anything, you certainly can use that approach.
