Paperwork inside packages 02-22-2019, 07:42 AM

I'm doing an SE with a company other than Amazon (I'm trying to avoid them for a few months), I've purchased an expensive tablet and I've used the 'wrong item received' method.
They have emailed me asking if I have received the correct paperwork in the package,. They have mentioned in the email that if I've had the wrong item sent to me, I would probably have the wrong paperwork in the box that correlates with the item that I got. As this is usually what happens when they pack the wrong item.
Obviously, I received the paperwork stating that I received the correct item. Is it a simple case of telling them that I got the paperwork for the item I purchased, I'd just received the wrong item? Or is it better to say I received no paperwork at all?
