A box which got delivered on friday had been damaged in transit, this is acknowledged by the tape and printing on the box by the specfic courrier.
This looks like a free PEB to me. The tape proves that somewhere along the way the package got damaged, the courrier acknowledges it with the tape.
Although it doesn't guarantee a succesfull claim, it will strengthen it for sure.

It dawned on me how courrier specfic tape opens doors to SE.

Because the box had been obviously tampered with. And a sloppy fix at that too with special courrier branded tape which acknowledges that there went something wrong with the package. In an SE attempt towards the seller, it gives you more credibility points.

Should be pretty easy if there were more items inside but... keeping in mind that the courier acknowledged the damage box for sure they write something in them system and weighted the package.
They can be prepared already for a future investigation so they took notes I would say...hope I'm wrong.
