PC Gaming makes Devs lazy #1
I come from a very limited income standpoint. However I do have a nice PC. I will alway prefer console. Console has some of the most active communities, mythical amounts of support, much more consistency, etc. However I've noticed a HUGE drop in quality over the past 2 years. Bitcoin definitely jacked the prices of GPUs up. Which made the console communities absolutely booming. However, developers refuse to address this. For example, Planetside 2 on PC is legit dead. On console, 3 months ago I witness over 1,000 people in one server. But the PC version got a new update where you could build bases. Wtf. I always wonder why consoles get so much hate. I mean, they are cheap as hell, ALL of your friends have one or will have one, no Windows errors, no troubleshootint, etc. What are your opinions on this? Also mods is probably one of the only decent arguments, however consoles seem to be working on that.

I suspect there are a lot of issues when it comes to approval. I've been watching dev streams for a game I like to play, and the reason PC is always getting updates and content first, is due to approval. I don't know if this is true in all cases, but I suspect there are reasons for PC getting that priority, and I doubt it's down to player numbers. I imagine investors and external stakeholders other than the player base may have a lot of influence. I would be curious to find out more. I'm a PC gamer, and probably always will be for preference. However, I've played various consoles here and there over the years, but found 90% of my friends play PC over console.

You are correct about approval. That is 100% true. Honestly Sony should have a greenlight service before an update becomes official. I hate Xbox so they probably would have their own thing. Have you seen 7 Days to die on PS4? It hurts to look at. But the PS4 exceeds it's graphical requirements. They need to make a solution to this kind of stuff.

Perhaps they will do in the future. Although, much of the backlash from it hits the game developers and studios as opposed to Sony etc. I'd be curious to see what happens. Especially in an industry that moves as quickly as this one.

Oftentimes you can build a PC with better specs than a console, for less money. There is no "4k and max framerate", because you're limited by the console you decide to play on. No hate towards consoles, as I've owned quite a number over the years and consoles tend to receive better optimization for some games. There also tends to be less cheaters when it comes to multiplayer games on console. Overall I use a PC, since I prefer the precision of a mouse, and I play a lot of MMOs (which tend to be specific to PC).

This is pretty much why I prefer console over PC. Console is also almost totally immune from component inflation which is nice.
