Order cancelled but still arrived

Hello guys want some guidance from you guys to what I should do.
I ordered something from a website accidentally and forgot to cancel but I contacted the website and told them about it they told me I can refuse the order for a faster refund so I did that yesterday and told the courier to return to sender. Yet again I contacted them via livechat and got refund confirmation also with 2 emails confirming the refund for the cancellation but today at 9am I got a message from dpd saying that they are delivering the cancelled parcel and they delivered it at 10am with no issues so I don't know if I'm getting my money back or not?
Please let me know what I should do

It seems you will get your refund. Of course the company will contact you about this, just act innocent and say you told the courier you cancelled the order and you're not sure why the tracking shows delivered.

Spoke to livechat about 9:30am about the refund they told me is processing and the order is returned when I told the driver to return to sender I don't know if he did something wrong since he was a newbie guy must he must have scanned the parcel accidently and rescheduled the delivery even when the order was cancelled.
Il see if the company contact me
If not il take it as a early Christmas gift Biggrin

This is from the first email I got after speaking to livechat telling them I refused delivery.
"I hereby confirm that your refund from order has been released from our end and should be back in your account in the next 3 to 5 workdays"

This is the email I got at 9:15am after speaking to livechat We’ve attached a copy of your refund 1228051137 to this email. We recommend you hold onto it just in case you need to check it
later.

If the refund went to your credit card, you should be able to see it on your account now.

If you're being refunded by bank transfer, your bank may take a few additional steps before your account shows the refund.

Christmas come early it seems. This is the second W post I've seen like this today with an unexpected easy refund.

As soon as the refund lands, go on your bank app and report your card as lost so you get a new card number. This is to prevent any rebills (they still can technically but your new card number will make the rebill procedure harder).

Don't cheer too soon and keep us updated if your refunds lands as they could very well cancel it. Happens all the time with Amazon.

i smell JohnLewis here? similar thing happened to me but i phoned up to cancel which they said they did and i got the refund but it was still delivered the next day

When you contacted the company was the order dispatched? If not how many hours after you placed the order did you contact them?

Yes the order was in warehouse but after it reaches warehouse it can't be cancelled so I suggested to them if I can refuse the delivery and they said it was OK and it would get returned to them and they get my money back.
Don't think anyone will ask questions about it but I will see after Christmas since they don't operate now.
