Obtaining serial numbers? 01-25-2018, 09:49 PM

Whats the best way to obtain serial numbers?
I see most methods require them and I'm guessing it increases the success rate a hell of a lot if you can provide a serial number.
Also what do people say when the company asks for pictures?

There are various thing you can do. Though I don't know a lot about "Social Engineering", I'll explain where I'd look:
1) YouTube unboxing/reviewing videos
2) Ebay
3) Second-hand sites
4) Personal (say to people with the item you're interested in buying but ask for the serial or photo of the back to "make sure it isn't stolen", they'll probably not suspect you'll use it for "SE"
5) Sites that sell serial codes (not sure where, maybe on the TOR-network somewhere)

Okay I've been able to find a serial number on eBay for a certain sound company I am trying to SE, but I want to make sure that the product is still under warranty before sending it. Is there a way to find this out? I know what the length of the warranty they offer is 2 years.
