"The hardest riddle available on the internet."
What is it?
I thought this to be more of a puzzle-solving game than anything, so I'll put it here in the Gaming section. That said, this is the game that I was searching for a few months back, and I only recently found it.
NotPron is a password-solving riddle game by David Munnich. There are currently 140 levels that can be accessed so far. Many levels consist of a black page with a single photograph, with the level number in the upper left corner. Solving a level often requires you to look at the source code of the page, analyze the photograph in graphics programs, search the internet for clues and information... It's not for those hoping to finish a level within five minutes or so. It's a game specifically designed to either outwit you, or you outwit it.
What do you do?
The goal is simple: each level presents a hint to passing the level, and it's up to you to figure it out. While it starts out relatively easy, the difficulty curve goes to insane levels as you're prompted to think extremely, figuratively and literally out of the box.
Where can I play it?
You can play it for free on the official game page.
Final notes
I highly advise to not look up any walkthroughs or cheats for passing a level unless you absolutely have to, or you'll take away most of the fun of the game. I also recommend you use this thread to talk with anyone trying to solve/pass a level, but if you really want to post the solution to a certain level, make sure to spoiler it.
