Non-expedited deliveries & EB/PE #1
I was wondering if, since there might be changes between big and local carriers through the course of an international non-expedited delivery, there could be solid grounds for EB/PE methods if the local carriers don't keep track of package weights (at least not in their tracking service, I might be naïve to assume that they don't actually track it, but it wouldn't surprise me much if they didn't).

How did you come to that conclusion?

I'm guessing it's the case, since I've done EB multiple times and they never mentioned weight, and their tracking page shows no weight records.

Understood. Though, your experience Is not a representation of how packages are handled at the carrier's depot.

For cost of freight and record keeping, weights & dimensions are taken of every box, package, pallet, skid etc. Some carriers also take photos of every angle when boxes/packages are placed on their conveyor belt and If there's signs of tampering, a damage report Is raised, thus releasing them from liability. The entire process Is automated- with every detail logged Into their systems prior to dispatch.
