Not much you can do with a Nintendo Switch Serial, especially for SE.
IF you want something to do with the Serial Number is you can see if you can homebrew it.

i strongly disagree with previous post as ive raped nintendo for a while... SO basically with a SN you can get a brand new switch..

State system isnt powering on anymore
Get a prepaid shipping label
Box to Nintendo with that label
Wait for it to be delivered
Call em 2 days after to get updates and they will say they didnt receive your faulty switch
Call again 2 days after with the same story
A few days after you will receive an email notification stating your replacement has been approved and is on the way.

I've never heard of SEing Nintendo since I never had the thought nor did I hear anyone doing it.
I always assumed they were just harder to SE.

Wrong item received. The postal situation in my country is crazy. Ive read about people ordering stuff and like 10 % of all order are eirher shipped to the wrong adress or goes missing. The company I try to SE is known to fuck up alot and their customer support swallow everything and refund almost directly. Plus it’s soon christmas and the influx of orders is insane so Its a crazy business here. So I’m using this chaos to my advatage.

Picking errors In warehousing Is Inevitable. In fact, It happens quite often, Irrespective of the time of year.

As with the DNA, the wrong Item received Is considered a generic method, hence well-suited to the majority of companies. Please keep us updated as developments come to hand.

In my experience with Boxing Nintendo, I can only tell you that I was unsuccessful. I however was only testing it and not actually putting in the effort as I do with other more expensive SEs. But you can always try as you are not losing any money. Just make sure your OPSEC is on high alert.
