Well, I registered today [according to this posts date] for the sole purpose of meeting new people, making new contacts, and expand my knowledge towards coding.

I'm sure you're not supposed to post introductions here but, welcome anyway. Just make a new thread in the Introductions area.

Some may describe this place as one of the best places to discuss technology on the Internet, while others may describe it as a den for skiddies to run about. To you, it could be a board to expand your knowledge about coding, a place to share your product, a site to receive feedback about your projects, or this may just be a forum to talk, meet new friends, and chat about common subjects you share.

Whatever the reason may be, the community will be more than happy to welcome you with open arms so long as you do the two recommended things before doing anything else:

Read the rules and help page by clicking here.

Many of the things you should and (more importantly) shouldn't do are here, examples being not to gravedig (i.e. posting in threads if no one has responded for a substantial amount of time) or not make short, one-word, or image-only posts which are the most commonly broken. You, I, and the rest of us definitely wouldn't want to receive a bad first impression of you on your first post.

Make a new thread and introduce yourself!

The best way to establish yourself in a new community, online or off, is to introduce yourself to it's existing members, whether you're a graphic designer, entrepreneur, coder, or just wanting to meet new people. Just a simple thread saying "Hello" along with your interests says a whole lot more about you than making a new account that bumps an old thread, or advertising a product when no one has heard of you (both of which can get you in trouble).

Following these two instructions, you should be off to a great start in becoming a part of our warm community.

Click here to make your introduction thread; hope to see you soon!

New to forum here. This is a good thread. Lots of forums have obscure rule lists that run pages long. Rules here are concise, logical and not too onerous.
