You cant claim its empty, would you really sign for a box which weighs hardly anything?

Im sure they use a courier to deliver it, you should be able to designate a safe place if your not home. Have them leave it there, they will take a photo though, claim its not there now.

Technically they dont have to reship but its Amazon and their own terms mean they will.

what if I order some games and accessories along with it and claim these arrived but the console didnt and someone else signed so they wouldnt have noticed somethings missing...or would this not work due to the weight?

It might work, its Amazon and they will try to keep you happy. The problem you may have is multiple shipments, the accessories / games etc may well arrive by Amazon courier and the PS4 by another one.

Amazon have made it harder but you can still do them.

It probably wont work. If you se'ed the other way and said that some games weren't included, that would work.

Didn't arrive, meaning you didn't receive the package In It's entirety.

One thing I forgot to mention is that Amazon will most certainly be suspicious that the same product you ordered 2 years ago has gone missing. Not only that, but you double-dipped. To make it easier on you to SE, I would advice against SE'ing the playstation but rather SE'ing something similar to that price. Then you can re-sell the product and purchase the PS4

The weight of the package plays a role on their end, and not yours.

You wouldn't know for sure whether anything Is missing unless you've physically opened the package and checked, so using the excuse of another signature Is Immaterial. On their end, the weight Is taken at the depot prior to making It's way to your address, so given the console registers a notable weight, the method will most likely fail.
